Our Architectural Teams provide services to Clients in all sectors. Currently we are undertaking significant commissions in Education, with the procurement of new Academies and primary schools, and Higher and Further Education buildings, Commercial high profile fast track fit-out projects, and Housing and Regeneration, including town centre schemes for affordable housing providers, major estate regeneration, and new private sector housing for major developers.

Our teams offer extensive experience in all sectors and work closely with our in-house Surveyors and Town Planners to deliver a multi-disciplinary approach to procurement, by traditional, design and build or partnering routes.

High quality design is a core aspiration, and achieving this whilst meeting Client requirements is fundamental to our business.


Project: Regeneration of residential element of Arndale Estate

Wandsworth Borough Council were successful in securing funding from the Single Regeneration Budget for the regeneration of Wandsworth Town Centre, the focal point of which is a mixed residential and commercial 1960's development, which was in urgent need of regeneration. The centrepiece of this initiative comprised expenditure in excess of £22m on the existing housing, phased over 5 years within a strictly scrutinised Strategic Masterplan approved by Central Government. Pellings were appointed as Architects on Phases 1, 2 and 3 to undertake the Regeneration of the four residential tower blocks, and new build infill.

A coherent design approach to all phases was fundamental in achieving a successful scheme. The residential blocks are not seen as individual obelisks, but elements of a single development which dominates the central Wandsworth townscape.

However, the buildings are experienced individually by both residents and community members at street level and by the introduction of new low rise extensions at the base of the towers, providing a mix of residential and community use, a new vibrant street-scape was created, with more traditional relationship in terms of scale between homes and street.
