Pellings has a long history of involvement with major regeneration programmes and delivering new housing on brownfield sites.

We work with all stakeholders, particularly residents, to develop communities where there is a sense of ownership and pride to ensure such communities are truly sustainable.

Our experience working for social housing providers and developers enables our Designers, working with Town Planners, to maximize opportunities and deliver solutions for the long term.

Pellings has a specialist team who deliver high value residential refurbishment projects for investors and private clients, often in Conservation Areas and involving Listed Buildings.

Our Town Planners and Architects are available to advise on the development potential of sites as well as handling planning applications and appeals.

Project: Kensal House
Image of Kensal House

Kensal House was the first shuttered concrete building designed by E. Maxwell Fry & Elizabeth Denby in the mid 1970s. It was designed to showcase the modern home in social housing and was built by the Gaslight and Coke Company, to demonstrate how homes could be lit and heated with gas and coke.

Pellings has been involved with Kensal House since the 1990s. We were originally appointed as Surveyors and Contract Administrators to compile a specification for external concrete repairs, decorations, roof renewal, kitchen renewal and installation of new double glazed units.

As the building was Grade II Listed, close consultation with English Heritage was imperative to ensure all details were approved prior to works commencing on site.
