Bexleyheath mixed use Town Centre development completed

Albion Road, the Bexleyheath mixed use Town Centre development on which Pellings acted as Architects, Town Planners, Employers Agents and CDM-C, has been completed.

Pellings were appointed by Skillcrown Ltd and subsequently Hyde Housing to design and deliver the high quality, modern mixed use development which comprises a 109 bedroom hotel, 43 shared ownership flats and 880m2 of commercial space. The site was formerly an unattractive two storey car park; this has been replaced by a new public car park housed within the development.

The development not only breathes new life into the local streetscape, but also gives back to the local economy. The hotel alone has created jobs for 32 people, and could potentially generate an additional £1m in revenue to the local economy through the spending of guests.

The project was delivered a month early and on budget, scoring 100% across the board on KPI's. The hotel and commercial areas have achieved BREEAM "Very Good", and the apartments have achieved Code of Sustainable Homes Level 4, with a Photo Voltaic array generating onsite renewable energy.

All shared ownership units have been sold successfully and are now occupied. Brewers Fayre occupy one of the four designated commercial spaces, with the other three currently out to let.
