Pellings exhibiting at CIHSE Housing Conference and Exhibition
For the 6th consecutive year Pellings are exhibiting at the Chartered Institute of Housing South East Housing Conference and Exhibition , which takes place at the Hilton Brighton Metropole Hotel between the 2nd and 4th March 2010.
The Chartered Institute of Housing is the professional body for people working in housing and 2010 will mark the 21st year for what is recognised as the premier event for Affordable and Social Housing in the region.
Pellings will be exhibiting at their usual location (stand number 38) with a number of Partners and senior staff attending throughout the three days.
Pellings Senior Managers Attending MIPIM
Pellings Senior Managers, David Smith and Alan Davison will be attending MIPIM in Cannes between the 16th and 19th March. MIPIM is recognised as one of the world’s premier property events, with over 17,000 delegates and 3500 private and public sector investors attending over the three days.

Recent Successes
- Pellings have been appointed as Project Managers Project Managers for the University Centre, Hastings phase two redevelopment. The Construction budget is £8m and works are due to commence in March 2010.
- Due to the excellent performance of Pellings and Mulalley & Co in Year One of our Partnering agreement with Ealing Homes, a new Task Order for 2010/11has been submitted for the sum of £11.6m for external and internal refurbishment and kitchen and bathroom works to meet Decent Homes standards.
- Pellings have been appointed by Ravens Wood School, Bromley to provide multi-disciplinary consultancy services in respect of a new hall, food preparation, and kitchen block. Anticipated project value: £2.8m
- Pellings have been appointed by Lewisham Homes to provide Construction Consultancy services for external refurbishment and capital works to 3000 homes in the Borough during 2010/11. Construction value is over £4m
- Pellings have won a commission to undertake design option appraisal of the Older Persons’ Estate of Broxbourne Housing Association
- Pellings have won a design competition to design and deliver Foxfield School, a new 2FE Primary School for LB Greenwich. The construction value is £9m and the building will achieve BREEAM Excellent.
- Pellings have been appointed by Ashford Borough Council to provide Employers Agent services for 78 new build homes over 2 phases. This is partly funded through HCA funding directed at Local Authorities, and is the first new housing built by the Borough in 25 years.
- Pellings have been appointed by Abbeyfield to provide Architectural, Employers Agent and CDMC services
- Pellings have been appointed by Neilcott Construction, following a design competition for the delivery of a major new 3FE (620 pupil) primary school for LB Barking and Dagenham. The construction value is approximately £8m.
- Pellings have been appointed by L B Ealing for Employer’s Agent, Cost Consultant and CDM Coordinator Services for two residential new build projects. These projects are being funded in part through the monies allocated to councils to directly develop new housing for rent and have a combined project value of £6.5m
- Pellings have been appointed to undertake feasibilities for 17 infill housing sites for Greenwich Council, 14 of which are proceeding to planning. The homes will achieve Level 4 of Code for Sustainable Homes, Lifetime Homes and Secure By Design standards.
- Pellings have won a commission to design and deliver the significant expansion of The Coombes Primary School, Wokingham

Pellings Sponsor Bromley College of Further and Higher Education Awards Evening
For the fifth successive year Pellings LLP have sponsored the Annual Awards Evening at Bromley College of Further and Higher Education. The event celebrated the achievement of some 30 students in a ceremony on the 10th December 2009 in front of 175 guests.
Pellings have been involved in the redevelopment of the College since 2004, including creation of a Business Centre and Learning Resources Centre as part of a new Landmark Building at the Rookery Lane Campus.
London South Bank University - The Pellings Prize 2009
Pellings continues their sponsorship of the Pellings Prize at the Department of Property, Surveying and Construction of London South Bank University. This year's winner was announced on 4 March as Anil Rana Singh. Anil joined the University in 2006 as an advanced entry student. Anil showed great interest and excellent results in all his subjects, in particular Building Surveying Projects, Project Management and Dissertation. His dissertation topic on Adaptation and Alterations of Domestic and Public Buildings for Disabled and Elderly People gained him praise for a well conducted and written research project.
