The latest from Pellings

Pellings have handed over the new Club House at Erith Yacht Club.

We were appointed as Architects, Project Managers, Cost Consultants and CDM Coordinators in August 2008, and the project was constructed by Neilcott Construction under a JCT form of contract. The project included construction of a new pontoon as well as the club house and associated landscaping.

The previous clubhouse was the “Folgefonn” a Norwegian built car ferry that may well have been   the first purpose designed RORO (roll on roll off) ferry in the world.   She has now been returned to Norway where, she is being restored and will become a floating exhibit in a naval museum.

It is intended that the new clubhouse, which is fully DDA compliant for disabled sailors, will be a training facility for the 2012 Olympics.

Whiteley Village is a retirement village near Walton Surrey where we have been acting as Architectural and Conservation Consultants with regard to refurbishment, regeneration and development since 2004.  It comprises 262 cottages along with a pub, two churches, shop and village hall, as well as a range of extra and nursing care facilities. The village is Grade II listed and built in the Arts & Craft style.

We have been managing a phased programme of refurbishment and extension works to the cottages in order to establish 21st century homes for residents,  and have also been working extensively with the Trust to create a development programme which will help give the village a long term future. Current development works include the conversion of a Listed Building previously used by the Maintenance Department to luxury apartments. Future phases include the creation of new cottages and sheltered/extra care housing.

This project is a great example of how we are committed to work with Clients with Listed Buildings to create the highest quality facilities and deliver long term solutions.
