Corporate and Social Responsibility (CSR)

For Pellings, our  Corporate Social Responsibility strategy is about recognising and improving the way our business responds to the needs of our stakeholders and others that are affected by the work our organisation does.  This includes residents, clients, the community, our own employees, supply chain organisations, and suppliers of goods and materials.

We encourage all team members to adopt a socially responsible attitude, not only with supply chain partners and stakeholders, but also participate in ‘considerate contractor’ schemes and contributing to honouring commitments to local labour and training initiatives.

The fundamental principle of Pellings’ CSR position is focused on the skills development of young people; not only their academic or vocational skills, but also the enhancement of ‘life skills’ that help young people prepare for their working life. Since 2005 Pellings have been actively involved with Local Education Business Partnerships which have been set up to help young people prepare for their adult working life.

Our CSR ‘umbrella’ also includes work that we do to fundraise, sponsor and support charities and cause-related activities - as a business as well as by individual staff members.
