Pellings gains Cyber Essentials Certification

Pellings is pleased to have received a 'Certificate of Assurance' on 11th October 2017, under the Cyber Essentials government scheme, following assessment by accreditation body, APMG International.

Cyber Essentials is a government-backed, industry supported scheme which helps to protect organisations against common cyber-attacks.

The government states that as many as 45% of small businesses and 66% of medium/large businesses reported a cyber breach or attack in the past 12 months. What can be described as simple 'common sense' measures are not always followed.

Cyber Essentials certification provide a simple means for third parties to distinguish between organisations that are implementing basic cyber security controls from those that are not and demonstrates that essential precautions from the most prevalent forms of threats coming from the Internet have been taken as priority at Pellings.

Diana Anderson, Practice Manager at Pellings said: "As a business that relies on the internet to operate efficiently Pellings take our online security very seriously. We are delighted to have been successfully certified to the Cyber Essentials standard, which provides our clients, staff and 3rd parties with a recognised level of assurance about our systems and processes."
